Night Time
on: November 10, 2011, 15:35

I am about 4 weeks away from the final operation (close the temporary loop ileostomy) and am looking forward to the new set of challenges.

I finally found a bag that worked without leaking (convex) problems but always at night the air filter blocks and it balloons up. So it seems that at night and laying down I have more of a wind issue than during normal sitting, walking, etc times. I can see that wind plus a more liquid (? seems to be at night) could be problematic so can anyone offer some advice based on experience?

I eat the main meal around lunchtime and evenings is more of a snack – is that more likely to create more wind by not eating as opposed to eating something more? I usually wake after about 5hrs sleep and feel for the zepplin and then deal with it so would love to get 4 – 5 hrs a night with the pouch.
